Here’s everything we know so far about Dragon Ball Sparking! Zero, Bandai Namco‘s new fighting game.
Dragon Ball Sparking Zero expected release window
Bandai Namco have not yet revealed, nor even hinted at, the possible release date of Dragon Ball Sparking Zero. However, considering the recent releases of the Dragon Ball series, Bandai Namco typically launches games in January, April, or October.
Therefore, considering that April 2024 is just around the corner, we can expect the developers to soon announce the release date for either October 2024 or, in the worst scenario, January 2025. We’ll keep you updated with the latest news on the game’s release date.
Dragon Ball Sparking Zero trailers & gameplay
Despite not having announced any possible release date, Bandai Namco have already held the first gameplay showcase of Dragon Ball Sparking Zero. In it, the developer Jun Furutani explained and showcased some new features that players will notice in each combat.

All Dragon Ball Sparking Zero characters revealed so far
Bandai Namco have not yet revealed how many characters Dragon Ball Sparking! Zero will have, but they have already confirmed 29 characters. However, it’s worth noting that some of them like Goku and Vegeta have different playable forms. Thus, the number of playable characters has risen to 53 so far.

Dragon Ball Sparking Zero platforms
Dragon Ball Sparking Zero will be available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. Bandai Namco confirms this at the end of each trailer/showcase of the game.
As a result, last-gen console players such as PS4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch users will be left out from playing the new title in the Budokai Tenkaichi series.
